You have a 1964 Corvair Spyder with the 140 horse engine (dual exhaust cutouts in the rear valance). Might be worth a bit more if it was a Turbo but most of them got swapped out for a 140 anyway. I agree with GTX that you need to find a Corvair board and post it there. We had 3 of these things in the family and my favorite was my sister's '66 Corsa convertible. Best cars GM ever made. Real shame Ralph Nader had to slither out from under his rock.

My memory is really fuzzy on this, but I don't think this is a 1964 Corvair. I'm pretty sure that the 2 small "grilles" on the front were from earlier, maybe 62 or 63. Also, IIRC, the 140 horse engine (4 x 1 bbl.) didn't come out until 1965. I think that the Spyder was the turbocharged version from 62 to 64 with 150 HP. Engine size increased from 145ci to 164ci in 1964. In 1965 the HP of the turbo motor went up to 180 but the motor was dropped after 1966. The 140 horse engine remained as an option through 1969. The Spyder emblems are probably worth a bit of money. I wish I could find my old books. They're more dependable for info than my brain. :-D
