3.9 is the V6 in the Dakota.

IMO, I have heard they are a troublesome. Not sure if the engine itself is trouble, or if it is the Dakota.

If I recall, there is a guy over on one of the Slant 6 forums that put the 3.9, cleaned and detailed, into an early A body.
