The port on the base of the carb is for the PCV. It's full time vacuum.

Fred B is right! I thought you may have been running a Holley Dominator.
Is your ride a strip only machine? I had a single plane street dominator on a Ford I built back in the day and it was a damn good manifold.
The only other way is to machine it out. If everything else failed.
"Machine it out" how? I can't get the thing to budge, I tried an internal pipe wrench, easy out, etc.
Get a water pump plug,simple rubber cap and one hose clamp .it will look neater.They are used to plug heater hoses bosses when theyre not used.

ramcharger said:You could have it EDM'd out. EDM stands for Electrical Discharge Machining. It's not cheap but it leaves the threads perfect. Might be really pricey though....
If it really bothers you cut it off and tap it for a big allen plug.I think those are pressed in but they may be inserted in the casting process.
