torque converter

I am building a 512 stroker to replace the 440 in my 69 dart w/ 727 rev. body manual shift. This is a street car and I know nothing about torque converters
(hot rods usually have three pedals) but I do know this one has a 2800 stall.
Will this work for me or do I need more? It should make between 625 and 650 hp with ported and polished alimunium heads and an Isky 600 solid roller w/ 300 lift, port matched dual plane intake and 850 cfm holley.All suggestions appreciated.
