i just purchased a 67 barracuda fastback all original with 97,000 miles. My dads first car when he was 16 was a 67 fastback 4 speed. we still have that but it is rusted away to nothing. Now he has a 69 fastback from florida with only a bit of rust on the whole car. The car i just bought is automatic and has the original 273 engine and transmission in it. Luckily for me my pops has an extra 340 that i am going to rebuild. Unfortunately for me my car is going to need both driver side floor pans, a trunk extension, and one lower rear quarter welded in. I am thinking about getting it dipped in scranton, pa at a place called redi-strip if anyone has heard of them it is like 1300 for just the shell. It's either that or im going to be a sandblasting fool. Anyways I am only 18. I have been working at my dad's garage since i was eleven. started off just handing him tools now i am into doing everything you can imagine. This is a whole new pathway for me messing with an older car like this i have just always wanted one since i was very little. I included some pictures of the car. I am picking it up this weekend. It comes with all the parts. The previous owner even has it taken apart for me:) I'm sure I will have tons of questions that I'm sure you guys can help me with. I have looked around and you guys definetly know what you are talking about. I hope! Looking forward to getting to talk with you all

Cool! That doesn't look so bad. You can do it! I wish I was more into cars when I was 18, but it wasn't until I was 31 that I got my first Mopar...and now there's no looking back.

Hopefully you can use some of your dad's old rusted '67 in your restoration.

Yeah I am located in Elmira. Luckily my dad did keep all the parts from his 67 so i basically have two cars minus one shell is pretty much gone :-/. Like I said I am getting the car this weekend and cannot wait to get started with killing the rust!
