Speaking of intakes.....

Nothin for me. I think a RPM type intake is a bit much, (port window size issue. The intakes is larger than the 318 head and will cause fuel to crash into the head.) but would be OK. The engine, cam is small wiith a light compresion ratio. The OE 318 heads valve sizes are 1.78 intake and 1.5 exhaust.
Your right on headers. All the street ones are 3 tubes under the front end parts 1-5/8 tube.

I think a Edel. Performer will be good to use IMO. Looks like a nice street freindly set up with nice power in a daily driver mode. Go everywhere and never break stuff kind of set up with some power to lay down a little rubber when needed.

I'm running a similar set up with a Crane split cam @ 216/228 - .454 - .480 on a 112. Nice mello idle with a little punch. Edel. LD4B (The intake before the Performer, dual plane small port windoe and a square bore carb pad.) & a 600 Holley with the like headers and exhaust @ 2-1/2 inch. Rear ratio 3.21's and a 904 trans.
All in a '74 Duster.

A Perstolite huh? Retro? Sounds cool.
