Ok, we all know there wasnt a convertible charger, but Ive always wondered what one would look like. Check out the ebay link here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars...ddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130229097431&

Ok, this guys selling a mess, but I just wonder if anyone has done such a thing? I wonder how hard this would be? Im guessing if you had a satilite convertible you could just find a way to weld the rear section of a charger to it, Im guessing the doors should line up then. After that wouldnt it be just putting on the fenders? How different is a satilite from a charger? Is the cowl area the same? What about the A-piller?
About ten years ago someone did a 70 swinger convertible and it looked nice. I think it would be cool to do a charger.

Cool, I found some. Also check out this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2HDu--rR_M

It actually would be that hard. Just start with a 68 Coronet convertible body, add the charger taillight panel, front clip and doors abd maybe some quarter work and you would be set. Those picts you posted are pretty cool and the work looks good.

I have played around with the idea of making a 66-67 Charger convertible using the same basic idea stated above.

I think a 70-72 Dart convertible would definitely turn alot of heads as well!

OK, I don't really want to offend anyone, but this guy actually wants money for this? He even has a reserve? Man, I am getting old.....

It's already been done a guy at Carlisle a year or 2 ago had one,he started with a 69 Dart vert and went from there looked pretty good actually!

I remember a magazine article a couple years ago a guy built a 69 Daytona vert he started with a 68/69 Satellite vert, extensive amounts of fabrication was done to make it look right.

I know someone who did that over 10 years ago. He couldn't find any good Coronet quarters, so he used Charger ones. Would tell people it was a "Canadian car"
