Hey wats up A-bodies only my name is Angelo im from Ny longisland , im 18yrs old and i just sold my honda crx si so i can get this 1976 plymouth duster all Original its mint well there's a lil rust but not hevy a few patch panels will take care of that its the the slant 6 with working a/c =] i am gonna clone it into a 340 6-pack soon but till then its my everyday driver for now. i was brought up in a chevy and Big mopar family my dad own's a 71 challenger r/t 383 all matching and a 67 dart gts with front disk and a factory mini tube 383 .. and now i got my duster.... I am a welder thats wat i went to school for... well hope to meet you all -- Thanks alot angelo

im jus gonna miss the gas MPG lol 25$ filled me up it had work done to it also integra engine and the whole works ... but w/e time to show my Mopar side of me . lol
 
Hey Angelo............ The car looks great........weld it up good on those repairs.........My NY shop is about an hour from Albany.......probably 4.5 hours or more from you, but we're in the neighborhood.

oh ur not fair im over in port washington ... nsssau county ? .... yeh thanks guys--------- any one wonder how much i can get if i do all the body work paint it and sell it 340 6pack ready... u just gotta do the motor ? mabe lik 4,000 ? around

haha sorry guys .........i was in a rush the other day No i was saying .. if i get all the body work done and get it 340 -6 clone'd but just keep the slant 6 in it -- all the hard work and body work is done .. so for some one who cant do body work and has motor and tranny and rear they can put there own motor in and stuff and not worry about the body of the car.... you guys get what i am saying ? ..... you think i can push for $4,000 ? sell it for ? or more ? thanks angelo
 
A good body and sound running drivetrain in the /6 version should get you $4,000.
But a 340 never came in a Duster, so you can't clone what never exisited.

Edited after the fact. I ment 340 6 packs never came in a Duster.

I'm guessing you meant that the 340 didn't come in the '76 Duster, right?

Hey, welcome to FABO...the first thing I have to ask is how much did you pick it up for. :eek: I had my eye on that duster since it was first listed and was going to call him since he hadn't responded to my emails...I guess I can see why:).GL with you project there...
 
I will go ahead and assume that Rob meant that a six pack 340 never came in a Duster, which I believe is true. I think the response from the FNG was somewhat ironic. 1994, you will find that Rob is one of the most knowledgeable guys on the site and is a great resource for all of us.

1994rm250, Isn't there a car meet up in your neck of the woods? Mikelbeck, myself and a couple of other prople from an Island site were talking about this.
OH, did you get the car local?
You need some trim rings for that puppy. It'll really set it off. (Just my opinion.)
 
Yeh guys theres a car meet ever wensday at the town docks in port washington ny 11050 tryn to get it bigger.. a few mopars go there about 3 or 4 and now me .. and there about 20 or so cars .... so who ever is from longisland go the show starts in guessing around 6:30 ish till lik 8 ish -9 ... it might even start a lil early'r

I will be keeping my 66 valiant a slant, yep a small 170/ at that.
I hope you enjoy this great site, WE have some of the best of the best tec's here and some real good folks too.
We have a member here that has a duster and on the 340 stripe
it reads 360. looks and runs Reeeeeaall good and is a veeeeery nice looking duster. Keep us updated and enjoy
