Running on fumes??

I am trying to work out the science in my head here. Okay, it runs on fuel vapor, gasoline I suppose. Must have some sort of heater to vaporize fuel fast enough for demand. Technically speaking, that would be the utmost in fuel atomization performed by carbs or injectors. I do not know the stochiometric efficiency of the fuel vapor versus current atomization techniques, but I would imagine a 20:1 ratio using fuel vapor would assure more complete and efficient fuel burn. The engine build would have to be based on this (i.e. cam, timing, compression, etc.)

The theory seems sound to me, but I don't know enough to determine whether a much larger vehicle could be effective with this technology, such as converting a V8 in a 3,000 lb. car.
