@#!! Brake light switch, need help please

The adjustment is not as fine as you think it is. There is plenty of travel in the pedal arm before you make even the slightest braking.
Heres how I do it (right or wrong)... determine the switched wire and shove a safety pin through its casing back away from the switch conneecter so its not in the way or near a ground source. Clip end of test light goes on the safety pin . Pointed end goes under the throttle pedal mount so grounded (lght on) and also out of the way but easily seen. Adjust switch per test light. No real damage done to the wire. I dont bother to tape a tiny pin hole.
