McCail's V.P.!

You forgot about Jimmy Carter already?[/I]

He won a Nobel Peace Prize! I don't think W has been nominated for anything except the booby prize.

I don't believe the way to go into a war is already planning how to get out of it![/I]

I guess you must have believed that Iraq was in some way responsible for 9/11?
My thought is that little W may have just wanted to avenge his Pappy for the '91 Gulf War. We really have no business in Iraq, all it did was piss off the entire Middle East and wreck any chance of 'progress' with western nations. The loss of life is shameful and sad, and for what? What did we accomplish? Hussein posed no direct threat to our security. WMD were a lie and it was never proven that they harbored any terrorists.

And you really care about those people after the way our soldiers have been treated and slaughtered when captured? Yeah, Judge Roy Bean of the old west may have got a few innocent folks, but he sure hung a whole bunch of guilty ones.

Hard to believe any of those guys down there posed a real threat to our national security. Plus, we are the USA, we're not supposed to have a Satalinesque image of torture and unreasonable incarceration. That's the reason all of it goes on in Cuba, no one would have stood for those tactics here. Bush took advantage of post 9/11 fear and threw the Contsitution out the window. Might have well just called them the SS.

It's always amazed me that the 'other party' always blames the party that just took over for all of the problems that started during the prior administration. Sure Bush II has been in office for 8 years, but a lot of these problems originated during the Clinton admin and we've been digging out since. Like others have said here prior, who's controlling Congress for the past several years? I usually stay out of political and religious arguments, but there's just too much at stake this time

Typical to blame the other party yes, but as far as I remember, Clinton had no agenda against Iraq or Hussein for that matter. To my knowledge, he tried to broker peace in the Middle East, though it was at times problematic for him. Just so I know, what problems did Clinton create that Bush ended up dealing with? The economy was thriving!

I guess it's all OK though, as long as they don't raise taxes, right?8)
