i see what you're saying....and physicaly finding out what shape the car is in and asking questions is a no brainer for me....so as long as you're asking questions...you might as well ask why the person is selling the car....i could go on...but not sure what i would be prooving....

I couldn't care less if someone asks me why I'm selling a car. In my opinion, it's a smart thing to do because it may provide the motivation for the sale, potentially you may have something they are looking for, lots of positives. If the seller says it's a personal issue... done deal, no further questions in that regard. In most every case it's a harmless question that may allow you to better know the seller.

I've made some great friends and contacts buying cars over the years that likely wouldn't have happened if it was a "put on the blinders and only buy the car" attitude/approach. There are others, grumpy piles of steaming dog doo, I bought from that I couldn't get away from fast enough. It's a feel thing where every person is a little different.

Back to letting this guys ad run so he can sell the car. Sorry for the hijack!
