Hello, I was at that cruise-in this past Saturday also, great show & several nice Mopars there. I drove my red 67 GTX. There were several nice old Mopars parked in front of the SPOT hambuger place (been there for 70 years).

Hey anyone living near to Cleveland, TN. come on the fourth Saturday of each month thru October from - 3 till dark, come & enjoy a great get together each month. A couple of months ago they had 560 cars show up. Threat of rain keep dwon the numbers this past weekend.

Hey black931x, good luck with your car - sounds like a great one to start on.

Hi, we live in Grandview Tn. Hi, mike, you have all the dusters, but we got the Cuda's. Anyway the 1 st. weekend in Oct. is the Mopar Southern Classic @ Clay City KY. You all need to come on up there, they have Drag Racing, a Car Show and swap meet, for 3 days. It's a blast. Hope to see some of you there, Cudanana

"I was wondering if there was anyone else from Tennessee?"

Yes Sir; Franklin, Williamson County, TN.
I take the Dodge to Backyard Burgers and had been taking it to the Sonic across from Centennial High School until that drive-in show stopped happening.

Hi Mopar fans,

Tomorrow, Saturday Sept 27th is another cruise in beautiful downtown Cleveland TN at the Courthouse from ~2 PM till dark. The band will be from Nashville, called "Next Of Kin"

I'm in Seymour. It's triangulated in between Sevierville, K-town, and Marryville on Chapman Hwy. When do the cruise-in at foothills stop? I figured they where done due to cold weather setting in.

Whats the weather like down there , year round ?

How many drag strips are around ?

Considered Memphis or Nashville............im in the music business.

We have 4 seasons. The winters get cold to me (30's) but I'm a born and bread southern boy. The summers may be to hot and humid for your northern blood. This year wasn't too bad just a few weeks of 100. What do you do in the business. I'm an audio engineer at Dollywood and the Smoky Mtn. Jubilee in pigeon forge.

Audio - me too. FOH .

I assume theres plenty of work down there. Not much here in Iowa. Plus , i need my weekends off to race. Thats always a problem in live audio

Are there any venues that have weekday stuff ?

Believe me....up here its gets brutal hot in july/aug. :angry5:

There is and there isn't. If you apply at dollywood around march you got a shot at the wood. Starting pay is around 75 to 80 a day.( a day is rarly over 4 hours unless loadins and work calls 8hrs) The theatres on the strip are pretty well sowed up. I was in town 2 years before I got a shot at the Jubilee because the previous guy quit. During summer wich is peak, its not uncommon to go 7 days a week or 1 off and it won't be on a weekend or track day. I haven't seen a track in 5 years and live next door to one.But if you are interested let me know we're always short handed. It's steady work and you get to sleep in your own bed instead of a bunk at 50mph. I know the Cumberland county playhouse is hiring. 400 plus housing. Thats up neer bristol I think.

Thanks -
Im actually trying to get something else going , one of the main reasons is weekends. I didnt build my car to sit in the garage on Saturdays. The venue im in now is fine with me getting backup guys for the days im gone racing , however , fri/sat are my biggest paydays . Take home is anywhere from $300-450 or so cash for 2 show days. Sometimes theres a $100 Sunday show .

Thats the catch--to race it costs me an EXTRA $200 or so because im not at work ! :angry5:

It fucks with me so much now Im considering other lines of work , as in a "regular" job ......no more easy money...

I can make good cash when its busy but its interfering with my racing . I cant have this . :-D

haha--i dont miss the bunk. Did that from 99-03' .
