Multi Tone Hate.....Who's with me?

I see your point.......However a manual steering, 9" drum brake, lap belts, 3500lb car is not the safest thing on the road. I guess for those who like modern styling and conveniences should let the old muscle cars rot in fields and be crushed into manhole covers.

The automotive aftermarket is a multi-billion $$ industry, so I would assume you are in the minority opinion

I'm usually in the minority with most of my opinions, but I'm not really sure how you equate my dislike of 'modern styling' with letting cars rot in fields. Is modern styling the only way to make them cool?

Aren't they inherently cool with the original style paint and equipment?

I'm not against upgrading to better running gear at all. I swapped my 9" drums for disks, rebuilt my suspension with more modern componentry, etc. I just like a factory appearance and period-correct pieces. I think the overdone aspect of these high-dollar builds removes the initial draw of these types of cars, which is a raw visceral experience not having much to do with appearance.

Why the need to put a personal, quasi-artistic stamp on something that's already good? I like a more subtle approach as opposed to smacking you over the head with flashy, shiny stuff that screams LOOK AT ME.
