What a dilemma!

but to make the car right, I'd have to locate, install and paint a proper 73 front clip for it... of course then I wouldn't like looking at it as much as I do now.

Still, only a Demon is a Demon, six cylinder or not and they've always been my absolute favourite Mopar..

I think those 2 comments in your post answer your own question. I think, based on what you said, that youd be better of having the body work/paint done on your Demon and keep it. New paint sure can make you feel like you have a new car!! Good luck and let us know what you decide.
