Tonight we finished gluing the rear carpet onto the cargo side panels and the deck. I have that spread out on the living room floor in the house clamped and drying. Not to mention the contact cement smell.... My GAWD does that %$#@ STINK! Good thing my tenant is away.

I also found out why my clutch felt a little "funny". The clutch fork was only grabbing one ear on the throw-out bearing. I had to jack her up and pull all the linkage apart and re-assembly everything again. My bad.... :angry7:

I also got the hood inserts on, the hood indicators operating with the signals, front windshield moulding & the w/wipers on.

Here's a shot from where the drivers seat will be.

I even threw in the hood insulation pad.

With the exception of the oil pressure gauge laying next to the MSD box, she's done under the hood. I just have to remember to pull off that $#@% painters tape from the blower motor....

Yeah......

It won't be long now......

God that looks sharp! You must be getting pretty stoked to go for a run in your Cuda! Can't be too much left? Just interior to go? Looks awesome:cheers:

Man that is looking SWEET!!! Love the hood inserts especially against that color. A little tip if you are going to be in the house for a long time with those fumes, drink LOTS of water. The fumes constrict the blood vesels in the nasal cavaties and you will end up with a killer migraine. Kind of like ending up with a hangover migraine without having all the fun of doing the actual drinking :-D

First of all, thanks for the advice on the water when exposed to the fumes. Although I had the windows open with a fan on exhaust, it still smelled bad. Fortunately I was only in there about a 1/2 hour. Just long enough to only get some slight dain bramage....:drunken:

All I have is the rear cargo area side panels, metal trim around the inside of the back window, cargo deck, trunk divider, FatMat floor, capet, seats, door panels, header panel, grills, and the front bumper. Plus a bunch of other trim pieces (A pillar trim...door sills...window handles....sun visors....)

Wow. There really isn't much, is there?!?!? :toothy10:

Patience....you'll get her done. Look at the photo gallery in my signature and see what a steaming pile I started with. It's only been 10 yrs!

A little drain bamage wont hurt you bud,
It may get you back in good shape,:-D

I think you are having way to much fun and getting the job dun.:bootysha:

Looking good John, No!! Looking great.

Wow John. The engine bay looks amazing. Very strong work. Can't wait to see the patch you'll be laying down. Wish I had shotgun for the first ride but I'm sure that is spoken for by a special lady. Can't wait to see it done.

Thanks everyone for the compliments! It's been been a battle, but I think I'm gonna win....8)

Amy will have that maiden voyage, but I'll still take all of you for that first drive. I'll have her take a video. =P~

This way you all can laugh at me when stuff falls off.... :-D

Congrats to a really great looking Barracuda, John.
Wish I could´ve been there with you when you take off in your maiden vouyage.
I´m sure of that it will work just fine.

My girlfriend use to like to ride in my Barracuda until the first time I opened up the secondaries. :burnout: :toothy10: Now I can`t pay her to go for a ride in it. :-D

Fastback 340, did I read correctly that your car's color was 1968 Surf Turquoise, code LL1? I looked it up on Auto Color Library and what they showed looked darker, almost blue. http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/cgi-bin/search/search.pl
color chart http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1968-plymouth-pg01.jpg
I am admiring your color, and am considering it or something like it for my 1969 Valiant.
My dad ordered a brand new 69 from Goddard Chrysler Plymouth in St Louis, Missouri, in 1968, and it was Seafoam Green, a darker shade, and I was wondering if you have any further info on the paint you used,so I don't wind up with the wrong shade.
I'd really appreciate the help.

Any chance of a full car shot in good light, so I can see what it looks like? I like what I've seen so far. Looking sharp!
