Why are you saying 13.8:1 is crazy rich?

Stoichiometric is 14.7:1 which is where you want to be or a little leaner for cruising. But max power is created with a ratio of 12.5:1 or some what leaner.

13.8:1 would be to rich for cruising and to lean for best power.
