EMERGENCY INFO NEEDED - 3 speed manual from 67 Dart

I picked up the 3 speed last night. I need to call the guy back, as I spaced asking him if the slant in the 67 Dart he had was a 170 or 225 (I hoping it was a 225). I have to run the numbers, but if the 3 speed was the factory trans for the car, then it would be an A-903 if the auto hobby digest link above is correct.

I believe this tranny isn't synchro'd.

I found a Hurst shifter that will work. Summit sells a universal 3 speed shifter that you have to customize your linkage to fit your application. Its $135, and by universal it will work for Chrysler/Chevy/Ford 3 speeds, but you do the linkage fitment yourself.

I too am curious if the 3 speed can accept a 4 speed bellhousing.

I would much rather have to buy one bellhousing, rather than track down a V8 one for the 3 speed, then have to buy another when I get a better tranny.
