Sounds good to me Bill Dedman, I would be the young gun:cheers:at 50 and enjoy meeting you.
I enjoyed drag racing at George Rays and it was one of my smaller engine
car that won trophies, a 1970 barracuda two barrel 318 7 1/4 rear.
They called it J pure stock, Allot of fun and when I was killing 4 barrel 350 chebbys they would come over and look and see a two Barrel intake and carb.
I cooled my gas and had a 340 cast iron exhaust manifolds 3.55 and peddled it out and away I went. A Dart from a small town of Bono showed up with a dart
two barrel car and he started taking the trophies from me.
Bono was only 10 miles away from my house and it started a great friend ship.
His dad was a racer and said he could get him "Stacy Brodway" a car to start out with so he could win J pure stock every week end.
Our first race he spun to much and almost caught me :happy10:
But when it came time for the trophy run Stacy figured out how to get out of the hole with me and took over my two season run.
