I just got through installing my new TTI exhaust system. I got the H pipe and the dynomax mufflers all as a unit from John Cambridge. (I previously put the TTI headers on) I just have to say what a breeze it was. I have never had an install go so well. I did it by myself in about 2 hours. Everything fit great. I paid the long buck to get the TTI's because everyone said they fit the best. I guess they do!

That's what everyone says...I'm lookin for a set of headers for the Duster, and it looks like I'm going with the TTI's. How is the ground clearance on these?

the ground clearance was find on my set up...as good as I have ever seen on a header. the bottom of the collector might be an inch lower than the bottom of the pan. All the rest of the exhaust tucked up under the car nice.

here's some pics to show you the clearance

wow! excuse the rookie question but will you have them welded or are you done? also did this come as a complete exaust, meaning headers, elbows, clamps. collectors and mufflers or is everything past the headers custom? i'm asking cause thats exactly the set up i'd like for my dart.

I'm done. no welding needed. I bought the whole thing...headers on back. the only thing I had to cut was about 2-3" off the reducer...The first piece that bolts to the header. They aren't cheap....I got $1100-$1200 into it. Can't remeber exactly, I got so much freakin money in this thing it is all a blurr right now.

I have the 3'' set up on mine. Every thing fit like it was oem. The system is really worth the cost. Best exhaust I have ever put on the car since I bought it in '93

is this

so 1100-1200 includes the headers? is this john cambridge a local guy or an internet vendor? thanks

yes that includes the headers. I got the headers that are coated on the inside also so they were $50 more. I don't have that bill in front of me but they were around $650 with freight. The balance of the exhaust was $460 plus $65 freight. (H pipe set up)
John Cambridge is a member on this board but he works in the parts department at Baxter Chrysler Dodge 800-642-1524. He'll ship them anywhere and came highly recommended to me from others on this board.

whats that knob for on the second pic?
i just installed a disc brake conversion and that is a valve to control the front to rear bias.

i am soo stupid :banghead: :banghead: should have bought the whole system from TTI instead of building my own, ok it wasnt to hard to do but with the result you are showing us here it should bee well worth it!
TTI knows what they are doing!

Very nice. I'd love a set of there headers and a 3" X-pipe. Wish I could run there tail pipes but my leaf springs are in the way. Time to buy some mandrel bends and get the chop saw and welder out.

cant remeber how far you have relocated your leafsprings but if they are just under the fram and not inside the frame rails the tailpipes should be pretty easy you will just need a 60degree bend up from the mufler then a 90degree that goes in betwen your shockabsorber and frame rail a 30 degree bend to straighten it all out and then rougly 30-35" of straight tubing on each side:) can take a foto if you want it?

Mine are under the frame rails. The problem is the cut outs in the rear valance panel are perfectly in line with the frame rails. Theres no way to get a 3" pipe past the rear shackles. I'm going to get them over the axle and run the between the frame rail and leaf spring and have them dump out right behind the back tires. My other idea was to just have them exit in front of the rear tires under the rocker panels but my frame connectors are in the way of that.

ok didnt think of the cut outs, just remembered that my pipes wouldn fit with the stock fueltank either, sorry...

i will look to see what model. I just fired the car up for the first time tonight. they are not too loud. My 454 BBC has flowmaster 40's and those are LOUD!

Do you think you could get some sound clips for us? I've been wanting to hear that TTI complete setup.

Nice system. I have heard that TTI is going to build headers for early a-body with small block. Is this true? It would be great to have another choice of underbody headers for my 66 dart.
