HERE IS THE ACTUAL AD - PICS ARE IN THE AD...ALSO HAVE A PIC OF THE FENDER TAG - Ultra Ultra Rare 1972 V3W Plymouth Duster Numbers Matching Foldback Sunroof Car. This is an exceptionally rare A-Body, in fact only 178 318 Dusters were produced with this sunroof option. Very very few are known to yet exist. This was an option that Chrysler offered as a factory option in 1972 on Dusters and Demons through the assistance of American Sunroof. The car has been decoded and registered by and with Galen Govier. I do have the original Buildsheet and Fender Tag with this Duster. Factor into this equation that this is an HB1 Blue Sky Car with side and rear white stripe kits, white canopy top, and white buckets with console, and you should know be able to understand the rarity and historical significance of this Plymouth. I will try to be as descriptive and revealing as possible. I have a great deal of paperwork on the car, along with an original promo brochure on the sunroof option. This 318 is matching numbers, yet is topped by an aftermarket 4 barrel and aluminum intake. Chrome valve covers have replaced the factory ones. The white vinyl top works great and shows very minor wear on the edge fold seam. White vinyl itself is bright and looks wonderful. The 318 is a real strong runner! It has a Sunpro tach. The body is absolutely beautiful in the light blue with white stripes and top. It was very very nicely restored by a previous owner. It is very clean and very straight. It only has one very small bubble (not through or peeling) on the driver’s side quarter. The underside is gorgeous with nothing more than slight showings of surface scale rust (check the pics). It is one of the cleanest Dusters I have seen…especially here in the Midwest. I actually got the car from Georgia. I believe it was an original Oregon car, but I am not 100% certain. It is a dual Flowmaster exhaust car with 340 exhaust tips (not factory, but awesome looking). The grille is like new! The bumpers are straight and still have very nice looking chrome with minor oxidation. Interior wise, it is a white bucket seat car, with console automatic. The seats are all free of rips or seam splits. The seats backs are not great but I have a brand new set that goes with the car from Legendary Auto Interiors. Door panels are nice as well. The seat belts are really beautiful as well with the upper restraints still haning from the roof. Carpet is very nice and it has Duster floor mats. The mats are showing some wear. It is not a 8 ¾ car and has a 3 speed auto torqueflite tranny. Car shifts and drives very soundly. It is drums all around. Dash and guages are in very nice shape as well. The stereo absolutely rocks! It is a Pioneer removable faceplate CD player (with remote) jamming out the tunes back to Infinity speakers. The original Music Master AM is still in the dash as well. There is some minor discoloration on headliner...It is insanely rare to find one of these cars, let alone with the original headliner. The trunk is super solid with a nice mat and only shows some superficial surface rust under the mat that could be lightly sanded and resprayed. Wheels are sharp Rallye Rims with Eagle STs. The rear passenger tire does have a slow leak. The engine compartment was NOT detailed when the previous owner redid the car. The battery is new, but recently there is a drain on the battery if it isn’t started for awhile. I keep a battery tender on it currently when not driving her. It is not rusty, but shows a bit of primer and surface rust. Glass and lenses are clean. The Govier decoding lists the following options and info… Build Date was May 13, 1972 at Hamtramck. It is a A88 Interior Décor Group (wood grain option), black console car with 3-speed auto tranny, buckets with head restraints, swing-out rear windows, driver’s side remote mirror, and variable speed wipers. In all honesty, I had plans to never offer this car for sale…it was purchased to give to my son years from now on his 16th birthday. Financial concerns create the need of the sale, yet I have no plans to give this car away for the sake of making some easy cash. This is a very hard decision for my family, but the good it will do for my family will outweigh the memories I will miss with the car and my son. Please check my feedback and bid with confidence.
