well... I know about everything i need... 440, 727, short driveshaft, rear to replace 7.25, torsion bars, manual steering box for header clearence, and the engine parts, but i wanted to know for people who put 440's in a's, what radiator did you use? a custom made or a high performance street radiator? this is going to be for a street setup, not so much as performancey racing stuff - thanks a lot!

A 1988 Jeep Cher 3 Core Rad Worked Great. Very Large Rad. Fit Right In. Just Had To Reverse The Mounts. All Hoses Were On The Proper Side. Never Over 190Deg In The Summer Time.

I purchased a new aluminum 26" radiator with mounts off a company on ebay for $305.00 and my 70' Dart Swinger with a 440 never runs above 180 degrees. The motor is pumped up pretty nice and I never had an over heating problem. The company was "disrad" but if you go onto ebay there are alot of company's that sell them reasonable, I just had good luck with this one. There is pictures of my Dart in the photo gallery under (1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 440). Good luck and let me know if you need any more info.
Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget the subframe connectors, other than that the largest 3 core factory rad you can put in with out cutting 22"W x 18" H.

Schumacher headers will allow you to run power steering.

I've got a 22" copper 3 row from US Radiator and it's borderline for cooling. I may look into a true bolt-in 22" downflow aluminum unit from Wizard Cooling. With a 440, space is tight for either a clutch fan or electric.
