72 Thermoquad hot start

Thanks to this website I have been able to locate the hot start problem on my survivor 45,000 mile 340 Duster. Took the Thermoquad off today, first time removed since new! Found one of the main well o-rings was distorted allowing fuel to trickle down into the intake as soon as the engine was switched off flooding the engine and thus inducing a hot start problem(flooded). I rebuilt the carb with a quality Echlin kit from Napa, set original brass floats at 1" and reinstalled . Now I just look at the key after 10 minutes and it fires right up! There was a TSB on this problem back in mid 72. Thanks to the Hamtramack Historical Society for posting it on the site...it really came in handy for me! Dave in Virginia
