On a 67 dart with a 340 to remove the oil pan do you have to remove the steering center link?also on the pan gasket should I use a rtv gasket stuff?

Yes you need to remove the center link, you will also need to lift the engine up as high as you can (till trans hit the tunnel) and support some how, this will allow the pan to drop just far enough to clear the crank. A thin layer of rtv on the pan side will keep it from moving around during assembly.

Thanks for the info,I got it out.I'm replacing a deep oil pan with a stock one tired of smashing it.
