I traded a 98 Mustang V6 auto 170,000 mi.
Salvage title (car was still wrecked when traded, missing complete front end)
for a 73 Dart Sport Rebuilt /6 (200 mi. supposedly, but runs great)
has new rear frame rails ,quarters, floor pans, rocker panel, trunk floor. and he also included the dual snorkel scoop, and go wing. I was told I got took, But the Dart runs and drives. Any opinions would be helpful on future deals, thanks.

all the crappy wok done?! you got a deal and a half as long as the work was done right... mustangs are a dime a dozen

depends on who you ask i guess. but in my opinion anthing is better than a mustang. at least now you have a classic car that isnt a dime a dozen. plus this car has alot more potential than that mustang would ever have. i say good move, and i hope to see more of your car.

Very glad to hear it! I thought it was a good deal I figured the car was worth around the 1200-1500 range, does that sound right?

Did have to replace master cylinder ($22) , no carpet, seats not the best, gas tank needed cleaned and spot of rust in front of driver side wheel not to bad though, thats about all of the bad. Figured it could all be fixed for under$3-400 dollars, considered selling, don't really want to,but I think I have a problem with buying selling and trading cars!? I am 23 now and have owned over 40+ vehicles since I got my liscence. Several mustangs, trans am, trucks, vans, motorcyces, and regretfully a couple fieros( don't rip on me to bad please!)

I had to replace the master cylinder($22) a little rust in front of the driver side wheel, no carpet, seats not the greatest, gas tank needed cleaned out, but that was about it. I have already considered selling it, I think I have a problem with buying, selling, trading cars!? Since I have had my liscence I have owned 40+ cars from Mustangs, trans am, trucks, vans, bikes, and regretfully a couple fieros :( please don't rip on me to bad!)

No catch just a little work Maybe $300 bucks worth.

any thoughs on value (I know something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, but for sh#$'s and grins):-D

Haven't had it for very long, but considered selling it, I think I have a problem, because since I got my liscence I have owned over 40+ cars maybe 50 and I'm only 23. Ranging from mustangs, trans am, camaro, van, trucks, motorcycle, and regretfully 2 fieros(don't rip on me to bad please!):angry7:

I just did the appraisal on a 95 mustang V6/auto/cobra body kit/hood/spoiler/red/big&littles/good title/runs and drives with no problems that had 120,000 miles and I put it at 4500 bucks and that was being nice.
You scored!!!

yha you did a lot better then the dude you traded with. v6 mustangs are a dime a dozen and a wrecked one is well worth even less.

Thanks for all of the replies, He also gave me a Auto Console If I wanted to put bucket seats in it, but my wife likes the bench seat because she can sit next to me,(awww). got an extra set of front fenders (I guess the original ones off the car) too.

put the console and buckets in and introduce her to the back seat. BTW avoid the guy with the mustang, he will be pi$$ed when he realizes how stupid he is.

The guy I traded was fairly young about my age (23) so maybe he just didn't know what he had. As for my wife. I can't introduce her to the back seat because it is full kids from the last time she was introduced to it!:sign10:hehe8)

???Thought about a V8 swap but the /6 runs really good.

No way man, you got ripped off BAD! You need to get rid of it ASAP!.
Tell you what, I'll buy it for what you got in it, and I'll be there in Warsaw Missouri next weekend with a trailer.

I was @ Whiteman AFB for 3 years and traveled all over Mo. in the mobile maintenace truck fixing broke A.F. vehicles when we supported the missle field. I know exactly the area your in. Lived in Knob Noster for 1 year, and Warrensburg 2 years. Would love to be back there now.
