318 engine build help

600 HP is quite a bit of power for a 440, let alone a 318. You'd probably blow up the block before you got there. Get a 360 block and stroke it to a 408 and 500 HP is much more doable. If you don't want to do that then build your 318 for 350-400 HP (much easier) and wait till you can get a big-block.
