Hi gang.

I've been working on my 70 DUster for about 2 months now. Just noticed yesterday that there are no rear seat armrests. Were armrests an option in 1970? My Duster is a zero option plain jane car, absolutely no options at all. Maybe getting armrests was possible but cost extra??? Front seats have armrests but no ash trays in them.

Strange thing is it has shoulder belts for the front seat. Maybe these were required as a standard feature in 70 Dusters for California?

Thanks for any info.

Deluxe interior got rear arm rests with ash trays. Never were ash trays in front armrests. Shouder belts were added in 68.

That's interesting. I have a 1969 Swinger 340 without rear armrests also. I'll have to check my other Swinger this Spring and see if it has them....

my car doesn't have rear armrests either, but has the shoulder belts (they buckle in separately) My car had 318, auto, carpet, remote mirror, passenger side mirror, and power steering. Nothing else!

I have a 70 duster with deluxe interior(per broadcast sheet) which looks more like a taxi cab interior to me and there are no rear arm rest, the rear trim panel build dates coincide the cars build dates and I have owned the car since 85 I don't believe any of the previous owner ever had the interior out of the car so who knows.:dontknow:

Interesting, now that I think about it Ive seen alot of darts with rear arm rests but never a duster?.
