Ok so i have made up my mind and I am painting my scamp hemi orange. Im almost done grinding the engine bay down to bare metal and it will be ready for paint this weekend so I must order everything. Hopefully tonight. So this being said I am in need of a place to order that has a quality product. And oh yea its gotta be single stage. ev2 Hemi orange. Thanks in advance
 
here is s single stage from Parts Plus EV2...Nason..I think dupont makes it..I can find out of you need me too. PM ME.....

thanks anybody else have any input on this. or should i just go local and have it mixed?
 
I've been happy with the results from single stage PPG products for shooting under the hood or trunk. I took in the paint code, and the soup the store cooked up matched perfectly. Use the corresponding brand of reducer, catalyst, and thinner. Suggest using hood, mask, and goggles as I got "Petty Blue" nose hair and eyebrows once when I didn't.
 
Ok so i called the local shop and they quoted me at $270.00 for a complete 1 gallon single staged kit in ev2 hemi orange. hardener and reducer. The brand is Nason paint. Anybody deal with this brand? I would of went with the PPG but there like triple the price. I think im going to go with this any thoughts?
 
Is that Nason you are referring to or the single stage? BTW the car looks awesome
 
Cool, another orange Mopar..... Hint.... Want your car to stand out? Don't paint it the same as everyone else....


Just my opinion.... I don't expect anyone to agree or care....
 
Well i wanted to do something different around here and all my neighbors have cars as well lets start. My dad has a lime green 67 barracuda knotch, my neighbor has a yellow chevelle ss yenko, he also has a blue 64 gto, then my other neighbor has a red 74 gto. I refuse to go plum crazy and I just like the look of hemi orange, and my other neighbor has a black ws6 trans am. These are all my neighbors so I cant copy anything else. So naturally I am going with Hemi orange.

What was the stock color?
 
I hate to be the one to say this but EV2 is actually more "Red" then orange.
Look at paint chip charts, if you are looking for orange, go with K2 "vitamin C".

I'm under the impression you want something different from neighbors (red GTO).

that is correct, EV2 Hemi orange/Torred.........I have original ev2 duster an 08 caliber thats orange and a 2002 400ex thats orange and a 69 valiant thats orange as well ,get te hint I LIKE ORANGE....
 
The night crowd is now on duty. I've used Nason paint with much success and around here Orielly's handles that paint so it may be the same in your neck of the woods. My little red dodge truck is painted two tone and it looks great but it is base/clear.
 
i personally like napa paint used thier paint alot in the last coupla years
