I allways wondered what was up with that washer on my K member. Just thought some one welded it on there for some reason. Would you happen to know why they put that washer on there?

The washer welded on the k-member, was how the assembly line workers quickly identified it as a v-8 one or if memory serves me correctly, a 340 "K"
