i have set my appointment for my lisence on the 10 of april at 10:45. i cant wait finally be able to drive by myself. :toothy10:

Good luck and remember, be safe, be sane. Don't let your peers goad you into doing dumb stuff. If for no other reason, you can't afford the insurance if you get tickets/accidents. Teens with speeding tickets in Maryland (i've been told) pay as much as $8,000 year to keep driving. That's money you could put in your 'chine. Enjoy your car.

Good Luck!Make sure you study good before you go,it only takes a couple mistakes and you fail!Which you don,t want to do.Back up 30 years, when I got my licence on my 16th B-day gas was cheap.I could get a 1/4 tank for $2 in my 73 Pinto runabout.I felt I was the coolest in my class. And remember not to ever Drink and Drive! All the best!

Uh oh everyone this is your fair warning! One the 10th the streets should be cleared of pedestrians and vehicles!

Good luck! lol

Don't be nervous and just drive in a smart, relaxed fashion. I passed my first driver test no problem and I was only marked down for pulling a bit too far past a few stop signs (and I did that so I could see down the roads at the intersections).

Also, after you get your license always keep it in your head that your car (if that Dart is your daily driver) is far more lethal for both you and another person if you get into an accident. If you keep that in mind and you're a smart guy then driving within the speed limits and making wise decisions on the road will become habitual.

Good luck...don't be nervous. Just use common sense and remember that a car can be a dangerous thing...but it can also be a fun thing too.

GL...I still have to make an appointment for mine, and I just turned 17 :(. Laws in CT suck, anyway make sure to adjust mirrors, and to always check them often during the test...they look for little things like that.

The officer and I got into the car. I backed out and started going out of the parking lot. He says "Take a right at the stop sign." Well there was another road before the stop sign which it was on the left. I pointed at the road and said "Right here?" He said "No ... that's the one you take when you want to end the test!"

LOL!

I was so nervous I didn't know right from left I guess and wasn't listening!

Yeah and no Mexican restaurants the night before either! :-D

Be smart, drive like he's not even there and remember the rules of the road.

Once you get your license, never, ever drink and drive. I lost a few friends in highschool because of that.

thanks every one. i never plan on drinking and driving its just stupid. and if my friends dont like how i drive they can get out and walk or deal with it.i went and paralell parked and i was by far the best out of everyone trying and can do it with no problem.

Ya, once you get it, then you can figure out how to keep it. Listen to your peers. They know what they are talking about.

Absolutely! Always listen to you peers!

Do a few doughnuts in the DMV parking before you leave and wave and yell "Thank you very much mister police officer!"

Keep your mind on what you're doing, stay cool, and you'll be fine. :)

I got lucky, passed mine on the first try though I lost a point for stopping a little past a stop sign so I could see oncoming traffic, and I also lost a point for not using my turn signal when parking.

Don't feel to bad man... I turned 17 in march and have to set up an appointment here in the next month or so.

CONGRATS on the license though 74dusterkid!!!

Good Luck Kid and I imagine Memike will chime in sooner or later...pay careful attention to his signature in quote"keep it neat on the street and fast at the track" un quote.nobody can make wise decisions for you behind the wheel.and charachtor is doing the right things when nobody is looking(I didn't spell that right did I?)Oh phooey I drive better than I spell so good luck with your new license!<<<<<<<<proper spelling of license hope you drive better'n ya spell!!! LoL:cheers:

Once you get your license be smarter than I was. I totaled two cars before I turned 18. I still have the scars to show from it. Good luck.

Do you have the graduated license program down there? Like the L and the N's? Up here its 1 year with your L, which means you have to drive with someone over 25. Then once you pass a test you can go for your N, which means you can drive by yourself, but with one passenger for 2 years.

In 16 and can drive by myself because motorcycle licenses are different, uhauauhau!:snakeman:
