Hope this works out OK. I did the same thing with my car 30+ years ago but had to take it off because it filled the inside of the car with gasoline fumes. My carb was in pretty bad shape at the time.
Well, so far ,so good ! Drove about 100 miles today (80 degrees) on highway and city streets with both my box vents open, and never smelled any fuel. Looks like your 30 year old idea just needed a better carb. :salute:
