Fresh Air !

I just hope you never have a backfire. Ever. Rules out using nitrous. The strip may frown on that during inspection too. The firewall is there for just that reason, to keep fire and fumes out the passenger compartment. That's why the OEM's never did this.

Please don't ever roll your car, we don't want to lose any members. :)

Thanks for the concern. I will simply pull the hoses out if the strip doesn't like the setup. I don't plan on burning my car up by running nitrous. The thin rubber plugs OEM's use is not going to stop fire or fumes either from entering the passenger compartment.

Because I repect the wisdom of this site, I am going to fabricate two metal doors for the cowl to seal off the area if needed. I will post pics of the work when done. I'm thinking off a cable pulled device that will also engage a fire snuff if the emergency arises.

Thanks , Rick
