Here in California personallized plates are an additional $41-$90 (depending on type) when you first order them, and then an additional $30-$70 per year on top of your regular registration fee. The extra fees are used to support programs pertinent to the organizations interest.
Having a Historic Vehicle plate limits you to driving in parades, historical exhibitions, or historic club activities ONLY. No fun in that.
