Car value

KBB only has back to 1989. NADA got me what I needed. It looks like I was pretty close.

One thing it doesn't have is how it changes once modifications are done. I'm looking at changing the exhaust to duals with headers since I have to get some work done on it anyway. Thoughts?

Modifications such as that are as-is/where-is for lack of a better description........If the mods are well done and don't affect street performance in an adverse way, it will actually add to the value of the vehicle.....However, it's up to you to point these things out to a potential buyer and keep receipts.

As far as the insurance company goes, unless you've greatly modified your motor or made drastic changes such as shortening the rear, changing suspension systems or other big stuff, you don't need to list it as "modified".

Most companies think of modified as racing mods. Adding duals is neither here nor there........adding a scoop or spoiler the same, unless that model didn't come with one and the clerk recognizes something strange and asks questions. I've never had to list one as modified........if it's totalled, I get agreed valuation.........they don't check the car over to see if it had the correct exhaust or tranny.
