Looked like it would also work well for removing the center section from the 8 3/4.

I've got that one. Have used it to R&R a 727 and a rear (bad back at the time). A floorjack adaptor would probably be my first choice for the money but it worked well.

Use an air tool to run it up and down - much faster.
