i just did the super six swap on my 74 duster, im looking for some help with the vaccum lines with the different carb. i could just rip off all that crap and cap everything at the carb but im not really looking to do that right now. any diagrams out there?

cool thanks. i managed to find some info on the slant site. im going to put 2 1/2" single pipe on the duster too. i already had a lot of guys tell me its not worth it, but to me it is, i have a bunch of 2 1/2" mufflers and some pipe, i just have to order up a couple mandrel bends. i made sure ot open up the outlet of the exhaust manifold before i put it on the car.

James you will like the 2 1/4 exhaust over the stock size. That and the super six REALLY perked up the old girl. I laugh cause I cant leave well enough alone (Beware feature Creep) I ended up doing some head work when my Exhaust manifold cracked and now it REALLY moovveesss.

yeah i cant leave a damn thing alone. wife is getting pissed at me and cant figure out why i put a bigger carb and will be putting a bigger exhaust on the car. one thing, with the 2 brl this thing is running rich. if you give it a full throttle blast it throws out some black smoke. smells rich too. im not going to worry too much about it till i upgrade the exhaust though. i keep thinking of grabbing the head off the volare i took the super six off of. deck it, port, and valve job with some good springs.

the problem is, i bought the car to do a quick 400 swap to it with all my spare parts. but since i got it running with the slant and it runs pretty good, it is supposed to be a normal car. i have a big block street strip 69 dart. i ordered my U bends so hopefully this weekend ill build the exhaust.

I bought my slanted Swinger 10 years ago specifically for a 408 small block/5-speed swap. The slant has been modified/rebuilt since then, with plans for more mods in the future, and the 408 dream has... dissipated. (Although I'm gathering parts for a T-5 swap for the slant...)

Be careful, slants can be VERY addictive to certain kinds of people... ;)
