O.D. tranny

A friend of mine put a A518(46RH) in his 67Barracuda behind a 360. To make room for the larger tail piece (compared to a 727) he had to split the tunnel from just below the dash to several inches past the torsion bar cross member. Cut the torsion bar cross member and open the area up about 2". He then welded new metal back in to close the area up and tie the cross memeber back together.

The tranny in this application oes not automtically shift into OD, he has a switch mounted on the dash to activate it. Also the tranny he used didn't have a lock up torque converter so he didn't have to deal with wiring to make that work.
