1966 904 tranny mount questions??

Here I have the broken tranny mount(dinnered my rad,1st ride)out of my 66,slant 6,early 904.As you can see it,s broken,I can,t believe this little bolt holds the tranny?Anyway I,ve put a 360,904(2500 stall)8 3/4 3.91s.g with Moser axels in the rear.My question is should I weld,beefup this piece?and put back in or buy new?The rubber is still good just the metal has cracked and broke off.Part # is2533145 AW 25 with a 6 circled.Should I change to one with an 8 circled?Will this hold after welding(repairing)Does anybody have a good one for a V8(ToolmanMike?)?Thanks for any advise!This little broken problem is costing me $200 for a new re-core rad for V8.&*$%!!

You can still buy the mount pretty cheap,(found one for mine for like $10) at parts stores but they are off shore stuff. maybe buy one and reinforce it. haven't broken the one I bought yet.

I've had a few cars with those, never saw one break. I would just get a new one and not worry about it.

The one you bought for $10(what parts store)was it for V8 or SL6?Did it have the little bolt or different?
