Putting a 2" strip of metal down the middle of the factory tubs would have been easier. It would still hold a 345mm tire and the trunk hinges wouldnt had to have been modified as much
So basically it would have been easier to "Mini-Tub" - yes.
I have to say I'm following this thread and appreciate what you are doing by sharing (Awesome workmanship) with us. I plan to reference this thread as I begin my project. Now that I've received the full floor from AMD I need to build my rotisserie before I can get going. I say "build" because I'm limited to the size (height/width/length) of my home attached garage.
