special trans socket?

If I remember correctly I use a 5/16" 8 point socket. 3/8 drive. I got it at sears.

i tried both, and a couple metric sockets too.....either a hair to big or a hair too small. The sockets I used were not in brand new condition but I dont think they were excessivly worn.
