how do you wire the brake switch

so i figure out that my brake switch might be bad since it is allowing 12v through the switch when brakes are not applied causing my brake lights to come one and when i press the switch it cuts the power. so i'm going to see if i can get a new switch that allows power to go through when i press it and cuts the power when switch is not pressed. the orange and white wire doesn't matter which terminal they go on.

this is a straight forward hook up if there is no issues.
