I am currently using helper springs to lift the rear. I have been doing some research but I cant find any pics of cars with jacked up rears. I live in the middle of nowhere so gravel roads are an everyday thing. The front of the car has to sit higher than normal so I dont bottom out the headers. What is a good spring to run that raises the rear but doesnt loose its arch (mopar super stockers) in a year.

I just ordered a set of XHD springs this morning from Mancini Racing and they say the car will sit 1 inch higher, I'll let you know the difference when I get them in.

I currently run Monroe Air shocks on all my darts. This is due to me not wanting to loose the smooth ride. The people that ride in my cars always are suprised at the ride and they say, "It's like riding on air", I smile and say, "Well I guess it is"! I don't do any racing just drive them every day. They should fell like air, 40+year old rear springs with air shocks and 13" rims, the walls of the tires are really tall on our 67 and 69. Smooths everything out. My son has a 69, Wife 67, me 64. The reason I chose the air shocks was it was cheeper than new springs with extra leaf in back. I ran helper springs in the late 70's on my 65 dart. They really only help in a downward force on the car or an upward bump (Making it stiffer) They were made to add on if you were towing a trailer. (Which I do several times a week with our 67, Utility trailer for drywall etc) Without helpers. Anyway you can raise your front end by adjusting torsion bars but don't go too far. When we bought my son's 69 the front was raised and his rear is sagging. He liked it because it looked like an old gasser! (225 slant 6 in it!) He left it this way for about a year. He came over the other day and his 40,000 mile tires wore the inside rib so bad you could see thread! (after about 2000 miles, He learned to listen to me know after his second set of tires) So, New front Monroe gas shocks, monroe Air shocks in back (air line connecting both with fitting installed in trunk, lowered front to just 1" over stock (when viewed from side about 2"- 3" clearance from top of tire to bottom edge of wheel opening), air shocks run on a Min of like 10 or 15 lbs of air, max is 90. I have found that if I run around 25lbs without a trailer load, it raises the rear about 1 - 2". The air shocks seemed to be a little longer than reg. shocks. Anyway I'm pretty cheap and that's what has worked for us in the past.
The monroe's I used were MA704 28-80402, part packs included. They come with a special hardware adapter pack with a little longer bolt set up.(to clear your gas tank side edge, you might have to bend that up just a little to clear, maybe not) They tell you to retain original bushing washers (Domed ones) but you can't unless you drill out center hole larger. They don't say that in instructions, the bolt won't fit through. My lazy man solution, different larger washers from Lowes. Shock kit aith airlines and fittings included $75.00 - $80.00 depending where you are. Not hard to put in. Sorry, I get kinda chatty sometimes, Goodluck!

Take a before and after picture from side of car for us.

Believe it or not I`ve heard good things about JC Whitney`s springs. I know one member that bought them and had to flip the spring hanger to lower the car. They are made in the USA too.

I had this sutuation also .....had the leaf springs re-arched this worked great may help you if your mechanical and can remove them...

I've heard members here say that too. Nothing wrong with a good old "Made in the USA" product.
