thanks i thought so also,,, other companies wanted several and i meen several hundred dollars to build A set of boards,,this company had several boards to choose from,,they make complete kits for street rodders,,repopping vintagle tail lites with leds,,,the reason i did it is,, i have a set of N.O.S lenses ive had packed away in a box for over 20 years,, normal bulbs will heat crack your lenses over time,,,L.E.DS produce no heat and last for ever they say,,

ok ive tried to up load the chart of different boards they have to choose from,,but this site wont except the size, and my resizer wont except it either,, any one intrested e mail me ill e mail you the chart fstfish66@aol.com

Hmmm...no heat + brighter + jazzy-looking...think I'll stay tuned to this tread.

il post more pics as soon as they arrive and i assemble the newly rechromed housings,, i wil be using standard store bought round LEDs for the lower running lights and back up

Interested in a pic of your lower lamp setup. These lamps are looking great:cheers:

Very cool engineering fstfish, well done! I bet they are alot brighter than the pics give credit, I will be wanting those also, sweet! I have them on my street rod and they work great.

thanks every one,,i dont have them yet,, those pics were from the maker of the LED boards,, as for the lower they do not make an led BOARD THAT SMALL,, so i am going to use bayenet led bulbs,,you can buy those at your local auto parts store,,and probably use yellow colored LED bulds in the front running/turn lenses ill post pics when they are assembled and installed,,

fstfish, when you go from just having your lights on, to having your foot on the brake, do the leds go brighter or do more leds light up?
Just wondering how they handle that, they do look good.

LED's have a more intense light and they also respond to the signal faster when you apply the brake. Faster reponding and brighter to, it's a win win!

I can't respond on Keith's question though.

That's killer. I wouldn't mind doing that to mind one of these days. If I can every get back on it.

Are the LED's soldered on the PCB? or are they "bulbs" in a socket?

ok its all togetherlll

yes they are solidered to the board,,they get really brite when the turn signal and brake are turned on,,,2 bulbs in the middle are on all the time then all the rest are around the 2 in the middle,,,

no led board available yet for the lower running lite,,but im hoping some time in the future,,,

i installed a clear led bulb in the lower running lens and it was so brite it washed out the lens,,these lenses are N.O.S. so they are not faded,,,i installed a red colored led bulb in the lower runnng lite,, and it makes the lens appear red,,so that is what im running,, here are a few pics also rechromed tail lite housing really top it off

sorry didnt think to get a pic of brake lites,,,
