power steering or manual

Went to a manual box on My car for header clearance, less weight etc.
Never cared for the mopar power steering units with their lack of feel I could never tell where the tires were pointed. I'd driven a couple of cars with a manual box and thought it would be tough to handle . It's not too bad though .The main thing I notice is with power steering I can turn the wheels lock to lock even when at a dead stop . With the manual I can still turn the wheels when stopped even with the fairly sticky 205's I have on the front ,just takes a bit more Umph ! A 15" steering wheel helps I'm sure using the large factory steering wheel would provide much greater leverage.
