E-Bay gots brakes???
It looks nice, and its certainly a one stop quick way to do it. But sourcing the parts yourself you could do much better pricewise.
'73 up spindles - $100-$150 on eBay
10.87" caliper brackets- <$50 bucks on eBay
calipers- ~$100 on RockAuto, core included
'73 up UCA's $100-$150 on eBay
brake booster $115 on Rockauto, core included
master cylinder $25 on Rockauto
rotors $100 on Rockauto,
bearings & seals $30 on Rockauto or local
dust caps <$5 anywhere
spindle nuts/washers <$5 anywhere
brake pads ~$50 local or Rockauto (for good ones!)
brake hoses $25 for the pair at rockauto
hardware kit $10 for 2 at rockauto (get slider calipers!)
ball joints $34 at rockauto (moog)
total $750-$850 as estimated.
thats over $140 cheaper on the high end, and $240 on the low end. You can do better at swap meets than on eBay too.
One thing I couldn't find was a proportioning valve, but he doesn't specify you're getting the stock type either. And backing plates are useless unless you're going for show. I'd bet for my estimates too you'd get better ball joints and brake pads than supplied. Plus, you might be able to get a core on the master cylinder.
I suppose it depends on whether or not you want to do a little legwork, or just pay someone for it. If you're cheap (or broke!!!) its less to do it yourself. Plus, if you did it yourself you could get 11.75" caliper brackets and rotors for just a little more $, and have 11.75" rotors in the front. Having just done it, the larger stuff would run you about $75 more than I estimated above...
