Where did you get the hood treatment decal ?

Tough to install ?

Secrets ?

I bought a 4 x 6 piece, 29 bucks plus shipping (after spending over a hundred on flat blacks) I can't over-emphasize how good it looks. if I were to go on up across the cowl, that would be a challenge but with a heat gun and patience, who knows. What's cool is it can't hurt to try since it's inexpensive and can't harm paint, etc. This is Avery vinyl and is good stuff. I took the hood (fiberglass) into the house and laid it across the kitchen table. Lotsa water, laid one half at a time, heat gun on the contours. It has to be spotless as anything under the decal will show (I have one speck of something in one spot). Most tedious is trimming - but remember I had already tried paint so I simply trimmed the decal a 16th or less just inside the paint lines - you may be able to pre-cut, but it'd be tough as it's wider at the back than the front AND you have to deal with the raised ridges on the hood. I did it by myself which was real stressfull. Quayludes may take the edge off, dunno ;) I'll take some closer shots later and add to the post. The sheen is exactly what I wanted, maybe not factory correct but works fer me. Oh yeah, if wax or oils get on it, no big deal, wipe off with any cleaner.
