I have found a set of 14x5.5 Rallyes with rings and center caps for sale. I don't believe they will fit my 71 Valiant with 4'' bolt diameter. I believe these wheels are 4.5's.

Anyhow I'm considering buying them anyways for another car I may be getting in the future.

The guy wants $300 dollars for everything and claims they are in immaculate condition.

Is that a decent price?

Thanks

Sam

absolutely - assuming his definition of "immaculate condition" is the same as mine and yours. Ask him to rate condition 1-10, 10 being new. That should give you a better idea. Of course, there's no substitute for actually seeing them.

PS - Trim rings and center caps need to be original and in "immaculate condition" too.

14x5.5" LBP Rallye rims are typically sold for around $20.00 a piece bare and needing to be blasted and painted. The trim rings and caps are the same, about $20.00 a piece for decent driver quality. Add that up and you get $240.00 before blasting. If his are immaculate for $300.00, I'd say buy them if you need them, but 14x5.5" are the most common rallyes to find and can always be had when you actually do need them. If you were interested in some small bolt rallyes, I have a pretty nice set with trim rings and acorn style center caps, with B.F.Goodrich tires mounted on them for $400.00. Good luck with your purchase, and if you'd like to see a pic of the small bolt ones I have, p.m. me with your email address and i'll send one out. Geof

If they 5.5 wide, they are from an A Body. Probably 5x4 sbp.

70coyoteduster, 14x5.5" LBP rallyes are by far the most common size rallyes, being put on 1000's of cars from 1970 on. I can go out to the pile at my friends yard and put together 3 sets just sitting in the pile. I just put a set on the Duster I picked up by just going behind the shed and picking out 4 good ones and painting them up. They are everywhere. On the other hand, small bolt rallyes are not nearly as common and would be a find. At $300.00, the ones mentioned in the post better be really nice to fetch that kind of money!!! Geof

I paid $400 (CDN) for my small bolt ralleys, centres and trim rings about 10 years ago. They were an 8 out of 10 at the time. Now they're probably a 7 out of 10, and if I was selling them (which I'm not) I would be looking for about $500 (CDN).
