Then again, Madonna is already in the "Rock & Roll" hall of fame, and Rush hasn't even been nominated. THAT'S the reason I shy away from "Classic Rock". It's just the same old crap that was force-fed to you as a kid. You just didn't realize it was all marketing and, mostly, no substance. How else can you explain today's popular music that has no musicians on the recording? And please don't try the argument that it's music because somebody cut & spliced sounds into a musical arrangement. They did that with barking dogs YEARS ago for a Christmas song! Today's "pop" is no better. Open wide... here's some more crap for us to sell you. And it's human nature: we see a line, and we go stand in it. Music is not what it's about. It's a numbers game, like everything else in life. And it sucks for us.... You have to really look for it, but good music is out there. Just gotta open your eyes, mind, and yes.... ears.
I enjoy music too much to sum it up with a 10 song list. And to pick a favorite? I better quiet down or this rant is gonna earn the shovel and end up in the Politics forums...
