Fuel economy is a big deal to me as I drive 45 minutes each way to work and don't have money for gas after doing a lot of research what blew me away is the prius is the only car to get better fuel mileage then a Geo Metro with a 3 cylinder 1Litre standard engine even a smart car is worse and I doubt the prius would keep up with the metro on a highway for long periods once the batteries die and guess what my 95 metro cost me 350$ in one year thanks to car pooling I have logged 40K kilometers on it and maintence has cost me less then 400$ including a new set of tires sure I can't beat a cyclist off a light but it does the job why do we need a fuel efficiant car that can burn rubber isnt that the oppisite of the point?
