Has anyone had pros or cons regarding the fiberglass hoods from US Body? I know AAR enjoys a good reputation but just interested in anyones 2 cents on US Body.

I have a fiberglass hood on my Demon, But I have no clue on who made it.
No name or numbers any where.
Wish I could help

I havent used them yet but Im looking at there six pack hood for my 67 cuda

In the not so far off future i'll be looking for a Hemi scoop for my 68 SS Dart so i'll be needing advice also. Never used one of the brand you speak of but i will be watching this post.

I have one on my duster.. I like it.. Could possibly use just a little reinforcement.

I've been looking at them as well vs. AAR. Would save me $100 overall for new fenders. Granted I would rather have quality, but if they are good to go, I could use an extra 100 bucks elsewhere.

I have a us body deck lid for my aspen. It is ok but it is a pin on and I guess I didn't realize that when I ordered it and the guy asked if I wanted street weight or race weight.

There is an awesome looking older style red Cuda on this forum that has a hemi style hood on it and it looks great. Don't know if the hood he has came that way or modified. http://www.usbody.com/ has both street and race weight hoods for most of our cars. One of the street hoods have steel reinforcements built in to allow the use of the stock hinges. They still recommend pinning the front (safety). Well, if you guys are not familiar with this site it might be of interest. I was wanting the six pack hood until I run across this one.

OK I guess I'm gonna have to admit to something bad here to answer your question but for the good of the site I'll do it. My wife owns a Chevy Nova and she makes me let her keep it here at the house :angry7::angry7::angry7: Anyway back to your question I have looked at the us body fiberglass hoods for it that other people here in town have on their novas. I must say I am not impressed with them they are very flimsy, they look very wavy (I am sure that may be a issue with not prepping it right before paint but I still say it shouldn't look that wavy at all even out of the box) and they don't line up all that well as far as I am concerned on the other hand I know a guy here who has one of the AAR hoods on his Cuda and the fit is excellent and it looks like a sturdy piece, also he said it took minimal prep to get it ready for paint. Now I will admit I have no personal experience with them on my cars but I have seen both up close and I like the AAR stuff much better. Next I will say I have heard AAR can be tough to deal with at times and they are not quick about getting your orders to you again I have not ordered anything from them but have been told by a couple guys that for the amount they spent the transaction could have been much easier. I hope that sort of helps some people out but I too would like to hear from someone who has actually dealt with either company in person. Good Luck Justin

I have a lift off from US Body, I had to do some work but I think they have a good quality product.
